The Stations 2003, posters, framed tapestries. St
Leonards Church, London.
The Stations were exhibited during Moral Combat, a week of events at
St Leonards Church which was organised by the Talking Foreign Policy
collective. The installation consisted of posters and an unfinished
series of tapestries illustrating the 14 stations of the cross.
The imagery used to create the stations was based on war photographs,
published at the time of the recent conflict in Iraq. Please click here
to view all stations.
Accompanying the posters were two framed tapestries – stations
11 & 13.
The tapestry series was left intentionally unfinished, so as to reflect
the ongoing debate surrounding the aftermath of the war. It is hoped
that when the situation in Iraq settle again, when peace, order and
prosperity is re-established, the series will be completed.
